SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Xavi Artigas received a degree in telecommunication engineering from the Telecommunication School of the Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain, in 1998, and nowadays he is doing a Ph.D at the AudioVisual Technologies Group at the Telecommunication School of the Technical University of Catalonia .

He is an expert software engineer with large experience in the implementation of new generation graphic card display's drivers and in the image synthesis research area. He has been working as lead programmer in the company Cover7 where he designed from scratch a full rendering engine capable of navigating a 3 million-polygon environment in real time (the Sagrada Família Temple).

Xavi Artigas also worked in the MassMedia school during 1999 and 2000. He was the director of studies and the responsible of the planification of a new study plan for a two-year long course on Videogame Programming. He collaborated also as a teacher in advanced programming techniques and languages.
