Signals and Systems Software
This simulation software has been developed by Gasull, Sayrol, Salavedra, Moreno and Vallverdu and it is devoted to the practical study of analog signals and systems.
The program exhaustively exploits the graphical tools provided by MATLAB to obtain a user-friendly environment. It can be used as a self-instruction teaching material. On the other hand it contains a complete and very large set of graphic exercises that makes it unique. Some examples are shown below.
This is the first window of the program. Graphical exercises are grouped in 5 different blocks.

If 1-Examples is chosen in Practice 2 the following window is opened :

Then we select the Input Signal and the Impulse Response on the right side of the window.
Suppose we select the rectangular pulse and the one side exponential signals :

When the Pause option is unselected the convolution is carried out.
Actually, the convolution is carried out once and the time of execution is adapted to every computer to
be always about the same.
The convolution at any time instant can be examined by clicking the result with the mouse :
